Location is a vital factor when choosing where to buy your home. As defined by URA, the private residential property market in Singapore is divided into 3 geographical market segments namely, Core Central Region (CCR), Rest of Central Region (RCR) and Outside Central Region (OCR).
Knowing the areas will help you narrow your search and facilitate comparison of prices. As usual, please plan your cashflows before making that decision to buy and feel free to reach out if you are looking to buy or hoping to sell.
CCR: The Core Central Region is made up of postal districts 9, 10, 11, Downtown Core Planning Area and Sentosa. Based on Map 1 below, it is the orange, blue and pink areas respectively.
RCR: This comprises the area within the Central Region outside of postal districts 9, 10, 11, Downtown Core Planning Area and Sentosa. Based on Map 1 below, it is the uncoloured area within the thick black boundary line
